Fall 2012 Runway Trend: Contrast Sleeves

This is the trend you’re probably seeing everywhere without even realizing it! And if you ask me, attracting attention to the arms is pretty sexy—possibly even sexier than revealing skin.

The best part about this trend is that it’s so versatile. This season’s sleeves come in contrasting colors, fabrics, or embellishments, and on just about anything, from coats to sweaters to dresses.

Like on these practical coats from Band of Outsiders, Stella McCartney, BCBG Max Azria, and Belstaff:

On casual tops from 10 Crosby Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, A.L.C., and Rachel Roy:

Wouldn’t it be nice if the olive green Victoria Beckham dress would magically appear in my closet right now?

There are so many more fall trends I want to cover, but I’ve been preoccupied with other things lately. Do I even have any readers left? If yes, I love you, and thank you. I’ll try to be back very soon.
