Color-Coordinated Bookshelf

I love this. Which is funny, considering that:

1) I poke fun at friends who color-coordinate their books, and then
2) actually did it in my own home.

I have not color coordinated books yet. My librarian tendencies wants topic then author. I do it with everything else (clothes, pens, dishes). Okay… not movies.

Haha! Well, I think color-coordinating books only works when you have few (which we do — our overseas book collection fits on one shelf). But if you’ve amassed a big collection, it really doesn’t make a lot of sense. In this homeowner’s case above, it’s also cheeky and fun because the books are contained, so it almost looks like art. So fun!

Ez, I feel you. I have ours separated into topics then alphabetically by author. I’ve even contemplated buying a label-maker and going full on Dewey Decimal. I’m sick. Sick, I tell you.

That said, the color coordination really appealed to me visually… I already do it with clothes in my closet, so why not? 🙂

You color-coordinate your clothes? THAT I have to see!
