These days we go to the park with friends so often that it’s almost a given that if there’s any special occasion, we’ll be at the park.

I’m convinced that the only reason we sold almost every single thing at our yard sale today is because I made such cute signs. Think about it. Wouldn’t you look inside a box whose junk inside could woo the ladies? Seriously, people. Yard sales + cute signs = lots o’ cash.
So yeah, we had our annual building yard sale this morning, and it was very successful. I was most excited about selling these items: my Austin Powers backpack, three dresses that I’ve worn to too many weddings, and my antique cheese grater. Those are things that should’ve been gone a long time ago.
When the sale ended at 2:00 pm, we counted our cash and then took it with us to meet Charla and Pierre at the mall. I love those two. Anyway, at some point, us ladies were bound to leave the guys so we could check out Forth & Towne, and let’s just say our stop there was very successful, too. Mm-hm.
Later in the evening, Kemba and I went to see The Devil Wears Prada, which was hilarious yet frightening -- frightening because I relate to this movie on so many levels, from working at a fashion magazine in New York City to... well, let’s just say that there were so bizarrely-therapeutic moments.
Since Kemba and I could just talk for hours and hours, after the movie we decided to grab burgers and listen to jazz at Pete Miller’s. She must be one of the world’s most interesting and delightful people. And just like I expected, we talked intensely for so long that once we got up to leave, I was like, “Wow, where did all these people come from? Seriously, have they been here, all this time?”
